Insurance and superbills
I'm an out-of-network provider. I don't bill insurance directly. I provide monthly superbills, which are itemized statements you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
If you have a PPO plan, call the member services number on the back of your card before your first session and ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits. A lot of people are surprised by how much their plan covers.
Telehealth
All sessions are virtual, through a secure HIPAA-compliant video platform. You can be located anywhere in California.
EMDR works well over video. The depth of the work doesn't depend on being in the same room. For most people, doing this work from a private, familiar space actually makes it easier.
Cancellation policy
I ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the full session fee. This policy exists to protect the integrity of the work and to respect the time we've both set aside.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before starting services. You can request one at any time and I'll provide it in writing.
